I sent you an email or whatever you may call it on one of your other web sties but it never let me know if it was actually sent. So I'm going to try this one with the same question.

In your interview I heard you say that you made a decision to get rid of all expectations. I'm having a very difficult time when I hear over and over that we don't exist, we're not the thinker of our thoughts or the doer of our deeds, how we decide to do anything. If you're not the thinker of your thoughts how did you make any decisions much less a specific decision to get rid of all expectations.

In Leo Hartong's book, Awaken From the Dream, about half the book is telling us that we're not the thinker or the doer then he turns around and tells us to relax. How is that possible. I've heard on tapes by Alan Watts and have read other authors who teach that self-realization can only come by grace. That there is nothing we can do to engender enlightenment. In my mind you can't have it both ways.
